Colourpop Haul

I practice what I preach. Since I posted about the awesome Colourpop sale last week I decided to splurge (they will probably stay unused in my makeup drawer forever because I’m a makeup hoarder). I bought 13 shadows and 2 Lippie Stixs for a total of $45. I placed my order on the 11/14 and received my order on 11/18. The package was in good condition but 3 of my super shock shadows were broken, I didn’t have this problem with any of my previous purchases so I didn’t mind this too much.

Super Shock Shadows:

  • Ultra-Glitter: Sequin and Lighting Bug
  • Ultra-Metallic: White Rabbit and Game Face
  • Satin: As You Wave and Moonwalk
  • Matte: Elixir and Summer Side

I really love the texture of their super shock shadows. They are creamy and super pigmented but won’t disappear during the day. I always receive compliments whenever I wear these shadows. Since brushes don’t really pick up these shadows very well I use my fingers to get the full effect. My go to is using one of these shadows all over my lid and creating a blended effortless look.

Pressed Powder Shadows:

  • Metallic: Salt Water, Pinky Promise,High Strung, and Tea Garden.
  • Matte: Get Out

These shadows are easier to work with a brush and super easy to blend. Don’t be fooled by their name, these don’t feel powdery and have no fall out. I am loving the Tea Garden shadow, it’s a unique blend of green and gold that looks beautiful with brown eyes. I will have to play around with them a bit before I can give a full review but based on the swatches I think they will perform well.

Lippie Stix:

  • Matte: Ziggie and Kapish

When I opened up these Lippie Stixs I thought ” they look exactly the same”, then I tried them on and realized that they looked completely different. Ziggie is a terracotta, coral and orange. Kapish is warm nude, brown and a hint of mauve. Both of them are really pretty and feel so much better on my lips than their liquid lipsticks. For winter I definitely recommend these since they contain  Vitamin E and Shea Butter.

Overall, I think this brand is perfect for those of us who can’t afford expensive makeup but like quality makeup. Colourpop is cruelty free, and vegan. They also have sale’s regularly so you can look flawless without going broke. Let me know about your favorites!
